In an effort to build out its growing media capabilities, Darling has brought in a leader with decades of experience in planning, buying and delivering media strategy.
Robb Hass joined the team on Cherokee Street in October and will oversee everything media-related for clients like Toppers Pizza, Lake Regional Health System and APA Adoption Center. “Robb’s expertise will not only round out our offering, but also help take us to the next level,” says Blake Padberg, founder and head of account services.
Over the course of his career, Robb has become the media "voice in the room," helping tie opportunities to a diverse mix of strategies and budgets. He will add additional strength to bolster the media duties Darling currently performs. Hass is a strategic leader who understands the evolving media landscape as well as the analytics side of the business, and will deliver ongoing leadership in both digital and traditional media.
“The exciting thing about Darling is they lead with great ideas. As a media strategist, that makes my job a whole lot easier–and frankly, more fun,” says Hass, the tenth member of the Darling team.
In addition to adding capability, Darling has also added square footage to their space on Antique Row. Coinciding with Hass’s start, Darling rented the building next door, formerly known as The Purple Cow. “Cherokee is a great place to raise an agency, and we’re lucky to have the opportunity to occupy such cool, historic buildings. Jim May even left his antique garden for us to wander around in while trying to come up with the next big ad campaign,” notes Peter Rodick, founder and creative director at Darling.
